What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at Towers Nursing Home?
The Dietary Aide follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and state guidelines to ensure that food is properly prepared, served to residents, and after meals are completed cleanup of the dining hall and dishes.
Essential Functions:
Assist with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations, Preparing and serving beverages, setting up and passing trays for meal service, Stocking snack cart, Bussing of tables and trays, Cleaning the kitchen work area, Dishwashing, Follow proper handwashing guidelines. Additional special projects or tasks can be assigned at times by the CDM or the Executive Director.
Educational/Training Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Licensing Requirements: Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate.
Experience Requirements:
Working in a commercial kitchen experience is preferred.
