What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Officials position at Town of Aberdeen?
The Town of Aberdeen is currently accepting applications for part-time Officials for Parks & Recreation athletic games and sporting events. Officials will be responsible for ensuring the rules of the game are enforced and making calls on game plays. Officials will also be responsible for resolving claims of rule infractions or complaints by participants and assess any necessary penalties, according to regulations. Sports to be officiated include Basketball, Baseball, Kickball, Flag Football and Volleyball.
Interested applicants should possess the following requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must pass a background investigation
- Must be 18 years of age
Work hours will be weekday evenings and weekends. Hourly rate will be $30.00 for officials with a minimum of 2 years of experience officiating.
