What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Guest Services Attendant - Summer Seasonal position at Town of Breckenridge?
The individual in this position is responsible for providing excellent guest service; greeting guests, conducting membership, pass and pro-shop sales, monitoring on ice activities, light custodial duties; and providing information and explanation of services and programs offered by the Recreation Department. This position performs cash handling duties and conducts transactions with a computerized Point-of-Sale system, and also coordinates equipment needs, performs facility checks, and handles facility reservations.
This Summer Seasonal position is a Full Time, 40 hours per week position.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have received a High School diploma or GED.
- Must have one (1) or more years of customer service experience.
- Must have one (1) or more years of cash handling experience.
- To qualify for this position the candidate or employee must pass a criminal background check as described in the Recreation Department Criminal History Background Check & Confidentiality Policy.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
- Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
- One (1) or more years of customer service experience in cash handling and/or customer service experience in the Recreation or Hospitality industry.
- One (1) or more years of experience working in a recreation facility.
- One (1) or more years of retail experience.
- Intermediate or higher level ice skating skills desired.
- Knowledge and/or experience with organized hockey and/or figure skating programs.
SENSITIVITY STATUS
Because the Town's Recreation Department positions may involve direct contact with children, the Town requires that the incumbent in this position must have a clear criminal history that bears on his or her fitness to have responsibility for the safety and well-being of children.
WORK SCHEDULE
Primary shifts for this position are typically six (6) to eight (8) hours in length and generally include weekends, holidays, days, and nights between the hours of 7 a.m. and midnight, with a typical schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed.
Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability; and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
