Ensures the safety of aquatic patrons by enforcing all safety rules and regulations; enforce pool rules in and around the pool; identify and respond to emergency situations and administer care; perform general maintenance in and around the pool and collect fees; and attend required in-service training.

The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the positionEnsures the safety of customers at the Town aquatic facilities by visually scanning all areas of the aquatic facility, determining whether customers are in distress, performing water rescues, providing first aid to customers and performing CPR for rescued customers when necessary.Ensures patron safety by strictly enforcing rules and regulations.Performs opening and/or closing operations.Maintains pool operations and equipment by vacuuming the pool, scrubbing pool equipment and pool walls for sanitation purposes, removing debris from the pool and picking up debris from the deck area.Performs cash handling and accounting procedures, securing money, receiving and processing payment transactions.Provides customer service by offering assistance to customers, responding to customer inquiries, addressing customer concerns or problems, education customers on facility rules and procedures and directing customers to appropriate persons or areas.Informs Pool Management of unsafe conditions or activity inside and the areas surrounding the facility.Ensures sanitation of aquatic facilities by disinfecting bathrooms with the appropriate cleaners, sweeping and mopping floors, picking up debris from patron areas and gathering lost items.Informs Pool Management of needed material and equipment.Helps maintain records and reports on daily attendance, maintenance, and money receipts.Cleans, maintains, and protects assigned Town resources and facilities.Ensures American Red Cross certifications remain current.Must work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.Be available a minimum of 65 workdays during the pool season.Report to work on time for every scheduled shift.Remain free from being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.Attend all MANDATORY bi-weekly in-service trainings.Other Important Duties: Assists and provides staff coverage in performance of duties.Picks up supplies and runs errands as needed.Performs other related duties as assigned.Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work hours is essential.
