What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utilities Director position at Town of Johnstown?
The Town of Johnstown is seeking qualified applicants to submit a cover letter and resume for a new Utility Director position. Located in Northern Colorado, Johnstown is a growing municipality of approximately 17,500 population along the I-25 corridor. This will be an exciting position at the Town because of the many capital projects currently in both design and construction stages. Specifically, the Town is in the processes of upgrading both of its wastewater treatment facilities and its water treatment facility. Concurrently, we are working on constructing new wastewater collection interceptors and are planning to design and construct a new water trunk line from one of our reservoirs to the treatment plant. These significant capital projects will strategically position the Town to accommodate new growth in the community. In total these capital projects are estimated at $175 MM. This ideal candidate will have at least 5 years progressive responsibility and experience in both water and wastewater systems including the collection and distribution systems of each of these utilities. The candidate will have strong leadership qualities to lead a team, but hold them accountable for creating great outcomes for the citizens we serve. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required in environmental engineering, chemistry, engineering, construction management, or other similar field that will provide added value to the position.

Expected hiring range: $96,000 - $116,000
