HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Highway Division
The Town of Medway, Department of Public Works, seeks qualified candidates for the full-time position of Heavy Equipment Operator in the Highway Department.
Responsibilities:
Position primarily involves road maintenance and repair; operate all light and heavy department equipment to include but not be limited to front end loaders, street sweepers, snowplows and sanders, backhoes and trucks. Drives and operates assigned motor equipment in accordance with all applicable regulations and safety practices.
Qualifications:
High School diploma; two (2) years of highway construction experience, including heavy motor equipment operation; snow and ice removal; or equivalent combination of education and experience; valid Massachusetts’s Class B Commercial Driver’s License and all Hoisting Engineer’s Licenses required to operate complete line of department equipment, Class A preferred or the ability to obtain required licenses within the first 6 months of employment.
