The Town of Sheridan Highway Department
is accepting applications for a full time
Motor Equipment Operator
Applicants must possess a valid CDL class B license. Mechanical skills and construction experience are a plus. Job duties include : plowing snow, paving, roadside mowing, operating equipment and vehicle maintenance. This full time job includes a complete benefit package including NYS Retirement.
Starting pay would be $20.91 minimum, increasing at the
- first of the year. One year of probation.
Work involves responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and care of heavy automotive equipment in the performance of assigned tasks.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES :
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS : Good knowledge of the operation, general maintenance, and servicing of heavy automotive equipment; ability to understand and carry out simple oral and written instructions; mechanical aptitude; industry and dependability; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
