Position: After School Child Care
The Wells Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an After School Child Care employee Monday-Friday throughout the school year. We are looking for an applicant who enjoys working with children who are in grades K-4. Applicant must be energetic, patient, self-motivated, dependable, and able to work as a team player. This position entails helping with programming for children directly after school at the Wells Activity Center and driving a Town of Wells 15-passenger van to pick up children from school and drive them to the program that is less than a mile away.
Schedule:
Afternoon hours are Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Fri from 2:30-5:00pm and Wed 1:30-5:00pm. Extended hours available during school vacation weeks. Camp will not operate on holidays. The camp will also be closed if the school closes or cancels after-school activities due to severe weather. Schedule can be flexible within the hours specified.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must have previous experience working with children, pass a background check conducted by the Town of Wells and possess a valid driver’s license. CPR, First Aid and AED certifications are a plus.
