Position Overview
Under the direction of the Camp Director and Senior Camp Counselor, the Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for assisting daily summer camp programs at various locations. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, setting up activities, providing as needed, assistance to Senior Camp Counselor, Camp Director, Counselors and campers, executing activities, programs, games and clean up.
· Maintains a clean and safe environment for both staff and campers to operate in.
· Provides assistance to all campers as needed.
· Follows all safety protocols.
· Monitors and reports status of equipment to Camp Director.
Fulfills goals set by Director of Recreation.
Qualifications & Experience
· Sixteen (16) years of age minimum requirement.
· Minimum of two (2) years of babysitting, camp counseling, or supervising school-age children preferred.
· Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the essential job functions of this position.
Licenses and Certifications:
· First Aid/CPR
· Valid driver license or reliable transportation
Salary is $15.00 / hour
