Tradewin is a leading international trade compliance consulting firm. We provide advice and services that help companies become compliant with import and export laws and regulations. We also help clients find and implement opportunities to reduce costs, improve cycle times, minimize customs duties and enhance the visibility and security of their supply chains. The complex issues that international companies need to address both before and after cargo physically moves are our specialty. Our employees provide key services including HTS classification, duty drawback, reconciliation, import and export compliance assessment, duty recovery and minimization, and CTPAT/supply chain security program implementation. In short, we help our clients achieve faster, cheaper and safer trade.

We are looking for a highly motivated person who enjoys a fast-paced, professional, and dynamic work environment to fill this full time position for a Mid-Level Import Consultant. Placement will be in a Tradewin office at Detroit, MI; Boston, MA; Charleston, SC; Seattle, WA; or Dallas, TX


Job Description


Key Responsibilities

  • Establish clear and concise communications both internally and externally
  • Research Customs and Partner Government Agency regulations
  • Draft analysis and opinion letters
  • Audit entries
  • Audit and assess importer compliance with U.S. Customs regulations
  • Manage multiple ongoing projects and project deadlines
  • Track project time daily
  • Contribute to departmental improvements
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications


Experience, Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5 years’ import compliance experience
  • U.S. Customs Broker license
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agency requirements
  • Proficient in Word and Excel. Access database skills preferred.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required
