Our Finance Team is currently in search of a full-time, experienced Data Analytics Sppecialist located in Lolo, Montana. Candidate should be resourceful, a team player, and someone who can multi-task.
Position Summary
The Data Analytics Specialist will play a key role in supporting TrailWest Bank's mission through data-driven insights. You will help strengthen our decision-making by building intuitive BI tools, maintaining high-quality data models, and ensuring that information is accessible to the teams who rely on it.
In this role, you'll collaborate with business units across the bank, helping us continue to provide secure, reliable, and personalized financial services to our customers throughout Western Montana.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions.
- Build and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and data structures within Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Design, deploy, and manage SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) tabular or multidimensional models.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, define KPIs, and translate requirements into actionable insights.
- Conduct data validation, profiling, and quality assurance across source systems.
- Support data governance initiatives to maintain accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve BI and data-related issues with a service-minded approach consistent with TrailWest's customer-first philosophy.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics, BI development, or related roles.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI (DAX, data modeling, visualization).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, performance tuning, database design).
- Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Solid understanding of relational databases, ETL concepts, and data warehousing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and professionalism aligned with TrailWest Bank's values.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in banking or financial services, especially in community banking environments.
- Familiarity with Power Platform components (e.g., Power Automate) or other advanced analytics tools.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
