Non Profit organization managing group homes for adults with mental illness. In search of a Certified Peer Support Specialist!
Must be recognized under a HHSC-approved process for certification Peer Specialists. Individual providers must maintain a HHSC approved certification for mental health or substance use disorder peer specialists. At minimum, persons must also be 18 years of age or older and have lived experience as an individual with mental health and/or substance use needs.
You will be meeting with client(s) in group homes to discuss individual recovery plans and goals and provide peer support. You must be certified as a peer support specialist to qualify for this position.
It is a contract position; you bill for time spent with clients only.
Qualifications:
- Peer Support Specialist Certification – prior to service provision
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
Experience:
- Addiction counseling: 1 year (Preferred)
