Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Escrow Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage servicing, with experience in managing escrow accounts and ensuring timely disbursements. This role is critical in maintaining the financial integrity of our clients' transactions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Escrow Officer will be responsible for overseeing the escrow process, from account setup to final disbursement. Duties:
- Manage escrow accounts for clients, ensuring timely disbursements and maintaining accurate records
- Directly communicate with clients, borrowers, real estate agents, lenders, and banks throughout the entire title and settlement process
- Work as part of a customer-focused team, ensuring timely delivery of documentation and information needed to facilitate closings in a timely manner
- Review title commitments to assure all requirements have or will be met
- Prepare legal, insurance, and settlement documents including commitments, closing disclosures, affidavits, and recordable instruments under the supervision of staff and management
- Procurement of third-party documentation, tax information, judgments, and payoff statements, as well as homeowner’s and condominium association certifications
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their concerns and answering their questions
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of banking and lending regulations, including contract laws
- Identify and address any discrepancies or issues related to escrow accounts or loan transactions
Experience:
- At least 2 years in the title industry or work-related experience in service-related industries
- Understanding of real estate transactions and closing procedures
- Excellent customer service skills, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage high volume transactions
- Knowledge of Qualia Software
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
