Transformations Wellness Center is a substance use disorder treatment program in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Our vision is:

Duties:
This position serves as the point of entry for all new clients entering our residential program and will be responsible for coordinating with referral sources. This position will also be the ReliaBill liaison and will be responsible for verifying client benefits, developing client payment agreements, invoicing, and collecting client fees.
- Answer phones and schedule intakes with new clients, always treating every caller as a valuable priority
- Return all calls at least once daily
- Work with local and state agencies to coordinate referrals
- Collect and evaluate all incoming assessments
- Initiate clinical staffing of all potential intakes with the treatment team including possible detoxification, mental health and or medical issues that may present as a barrier to treatment.
- Coordinate intake date with individuals seeking treatment
- Verify individuals’ ability to pay.
- Collect insurance information.
- Contact third party payers and verify coverage.
- Coordinate Utilization Review as required by third party payers
- Upon the client’s arrival to treatment, complete necessary initial intake paperwork as described in section D of the current policies and procedures (Certified Counselors to complete assessments and ISSP).
- Complete a financial agreement paperwork and payment agreements with each client.
- Assist other program staff in a smooth transition into care.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Intake area.
- Work with the treatment team to maintain a healthy treatment environment.
- Answer phones and complete filing.
- Other duties as assigned by the program director.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with people who have substance use disorder issues
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, understand substance use disorder assessment, medical care and substance use disorder treatment and service terminology, and apply each of these concepts
- Self-manager/self-motivated
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends
- Must be able to work independently, have effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with substance use, behavioral health and medical care resources/programs in service areas
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Basic computer and keyboard proficiency using Microsoft Office software
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member as well as independently
- Ability to maintain accurate records and necessary paperwork
- Exceptional applicants will have experience attending and facilitating support groups
- Pass a criminal history background check administered by the OHA background check unit (BCU)
- Applicants in recovery from substance use disorder must have a minimum of 2 years of recovery
- Applicants must not be listed on the Medicaid provider exclusion list
- TB test
Minimum Requirements:
Have the training, knowledge, and/or experience demonstrating competence in the treatment of substance use disorders, including the management of withdrawal; client evaluation; motivational counseling techniques; and taking and recording vital signs. It is strongly encouraged that the individual assigned this position pursue certification as a CADC I.
Within six weeks of employment, must be currently certified or in process of certification in first aid methods including cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
For individuals recovering from the disease of alcoholism and/or from other drug addiction, have maintained continuous sobriety for the immediate past two years at the time of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
–Various duties of this job require the following*:
- Repetitive use of hands such as grasping, twisting/turning of wrists, and finger dexterity necessary to perform various clerical duties such as typing, writing and maintaining files.
- Frequent use of arms such as pushing/pulling to open and close drawers and cabinets.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time at assigned station.
- Ability to bend and/or reach, and to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds (boxes of copy paper and/or files for storage).
- Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less for normal processing of work

WORKING CONDITIONS, TRAVEL & ENVIRONMENT
–The duties of the job require:
- Regular attendance of 5 days per week for a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Ability to work before 9:00 am, after 5:00 pm or on weekends, as required
- Traveling to other locations as necessary to complete operational functions.
- Candidates must have a valid/current Oregon driver’s license, a good driving record and current, up to date, auto insurance.
