What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Therapist position at Transitions Counseling and Consulting?
Our nationally accredited team is currently seeking a therapist / counselor to provide therapy services for adolescents and adults in group-based and individual treatment! This position focuses on providing group therapy for adult clients at our South Mountain / Ahwatukee Phoenix clinic!

Flexible compensation options based on experience and license:
- Salaried employee at $65,000 to $80,000
- Productivity-based employee at 65% of the fee per visit
- Contracted $40 per hour

What you'll do at work:
- Create treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based, group and individual therapy to help teens and adults address mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and social challenges
- Coordinate care with other professionals to support great outcomes
- Mentor advanced graduate interns during their training at Transitions Counseling and Consulting
- Lead our nationally accredited group therapy programs 2-3 days a week (after school and early evening hours)
Qualifications include:
- Must be licensed in Arizona as an LAC, LMSW, LAMFT, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
- It is our pleasure to provide high-quality supervision for those with LAC, LMSW, or LAMFT credentials at no cost. Supporting our colleagues in achieving independent licensure is part of our core mission - Arizona needs more mental health professionals!
- Provide current level one fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety and renew as applicable.
- Continuously maintain active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
