Job Summary Reporting to the Manager, Sustainability, they will support the development and implementation of company-wide sustainability strategy, policy, programs, training and reporting with an emphasis on maintaining a Sustainability Reporting Control Framework and drafting Company Sustainability disclosures for regulators, investors, and other sustainability rating agencies/organizations. The disclosures of non-financial data are very similar to the reporting of financial data and requires a high level of experience working with and part of an internal control environment and developing disclosures to meet regulatory and other requirements. Job Description Key Roles & Responsibilities Collaborate with internal departments to mature the systems of controls over sustainability reporting. Collaborate with internal departments to evaluate, collect, prepare, and review disclosures that meet the requirements for both regulatory and other disclosure frameworks as requested. Assist in responding to rating agency evaluations. Utilizing the Company’s ESG software (Auditboard), track and monitor ESG metrics confirming control performance. Identify new metrics that need to be created and evaluate the effectiveness of the data collection process with a focus on continuous improvement. Link ESG Topics to metrics and reporting frameworks in the system. Lead and/or participate in new initiatives the company undertakes to address ESG related topics. Stay abreast of industry and regulatory standards pertaining to the calculation and reporting of ESG related metrics. Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly scorecards to communicate Company ESG performance. Prepare internal impact and/or guidance communication for new and/or emerging ESG trends, regulations or standards. Education Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree required in Accounting or Finance Preferred Level: Master's Degree, Certified Public Accountant Experience Minimum Required: 5 years of relevant experience with regulatory and compliance external reporting. Preferred Level: 8 years; preferred experience with internal control frameworks, assurance methodologies, materiality, and risk assessments, or a concentration in sustainability/environmental science. Skills Minimum Required: Advanced – Experience working with, evaluating, and applying internal controls in a public reporting company. Advanced - Data Analysis, MS Office applications, Strong written and verbal communications skills, and ability to communicate effectively with persons at varied organizational levels, Collaborate and Work well with others within and outside of department, detail oriented, excellent organization, and project management skills Preferred Level: Working for a public international company that applies multiple reporting frameworks. Advanced MS Excel experience, understanding of material accuracy and assurance program management, strong understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD; working knowledge of sustainability rating agencies.
