About the role
You will be part of a technology department that is comprised of a small, successful and multidisciplinary group of professionals located across the globe –New York, Barcelona Manchester, Bucharest and India.
In this role, you will take ownership of a key product or technology in the company’s portfolio. You will work within a cross-functional team of engineers, testers and designers to develop innovative and user-centered products. You will oversee the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the clients’ needs and preferences, and determine the overall vision of products, managing various backlog items and deciding which features each product will have according to clients’ preferences.
What you will do:
- Work closely with the product management team to align on product strategy and roadmap
- Manage the product roadmap that meets user needs and corporate goals
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and translate them into detailed product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Create, prioritize and groom the product backlog
- Own the delivery of the product
- Liaise with the product team and end users to deliver updates
- Optimize the software development process
- Communicate daily with the cross-functional team to clarify any questions and remove roadblocks
- Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the software development process
As a Product Owner you:
- Are passionate about technology and building solutions
- Are able to differentiate what is needed from what is wanted
- Have an understanding of what goes into building a successful application
- Can communicate effectively both with technical and business stakeholders
- Have a drive to show up and do good
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software development as a Product Owner or similar role
- A solid working knowledge of the product management lifecycle and an understanding of the tenets of software development using Agile methodologies
- Experience managing products or projects using project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps Server, Confluence, Trello, etc.
- Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, XML, JavaScript a plus
- Experience with web analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics, Matomo, Localytics or similar an added plus
