Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Shop Manager / Service Manager to lead service associates and oversee daily shop operations on night shift. 🛠️ What You’ll Do
- Manage all service associates and shop operations
- Schedule and prioritize shop workflow to meet customer needs
- Monitor technician productivity and standard repair times
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure quality service
- Train, coach, and certify technicians (PMs, DOTs, safety, OEM procedures)
- Lead weekly shop and safety meetings
- Conduct weekly and monthly audits (PMs, DOTs, facility, safety)
- Ensure shop, yard, vehicles, and equipment are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Oversee associate training, certifications, and performance reviews
- Maintain confidentiality and support cross-functional coverage as needed
- Promote a positive, high-performance team culture
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
🌟 What We’re Looking For
- Prior leadership experience in a shop, service, or fleet environment
- Background as a Truck Technician, Service Manager, or Operations Manager
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to lead in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and team-building skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
✅ Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training preferred)
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Brake Certification or ASE Brakes (T4)
- EPA 609 Mobile A/C Certification
- Experience with OEM software (Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Freightliner, Navistar)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screen

- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and 60 lbs occasionally
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and shop-floor activity
- Ability to work extended hours when business needs require
