Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is seeking a reliable, hard-working and experienced Trailer Fleet Technician to join our fleet service team.  We offer flexible schedules with 3/12 hour days or 4/10 hour days plus $2.00/hour shift differential pay for 2nd and 3rd shift.

As a Trailer Tech you will:

• Perform preventative maintenance services on trailers.
• Reefer unit experience is a plus.  
• Perform the following trailer repair/maintenance tasks plus others not listed:
  • DOT/ FHWA inspections, meeting standard times for jobs performed.
  • Tire repairs and replacement.
  • Body, structural, rear door repairs.
  • Welding of steel and aluminum.
  • Fabrication of various types on customer trailers and vehicles.
  • Brake replacement.
  • Anti-lock braking system (ABS) repairs.
  • Electrical repairs.
  • Foaming of Refrigerated Trailers and vans.
• Perform road service work, when requested.
• Perform service and repairs of company vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and neat shop.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school graduate or equivalent; technical school graduate or equivalent; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work on varied time schedules – this is not a Mon – Fri job.
• Ability to work overtime during busy periods.
• Demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.  Considerate and respectful attitude toward both internal and external customers.
• Willingness and ability to work with others and be a team player. Motivation to do what it takes to get the job done.
• Ability to travel for training and customer needs.
• Ability to follow safety standards.
• The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must hold a clean and valid driver’s license.
• Must possess a toolbox and required tools.
