Summary
HIGHWAY MAINTAINER I:
Assists in performing year-round highway maintenance activities and projects involving operation of vehicles, trucks, manual and specialty labor skills in the operation of hand tools, power tools and motorized equipment used for highway maintenance, construction activities, and emergency traffic services related to traffic control devices primarily signing and pavement marking for the NH State Highway System.
HIGHWAY MAINTAINER II
: Performs year-round highway maintenance activities involving the operation and maintenance of traffic control devices, mainly in the area of signing and pavement marking and emergency traffic services for the NH State Highway System.
Minimum Qualifications
HIGHWAY MAINTAINER I:
Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency credential.
Experience: Three months of work experience preferably in a field related to highway maintenance.
License/Certification
: Applicant must possess a valid driver's license. The applicant's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards as established by the hiring agency. The applicant must obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-B) with appropriate endorsements prior to completion of the probationary period.
Highway Maintainer Ii
Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency credential
Experience: One (1) year of experience in the operation of light motor driven equipment.
License/Certification
Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-B) with appropriate endorsements. The applicant's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards as established by the hiring agency.
