TRC is seeking a Payroll Specialist for our client in the Memphis, TN area!
- Hybrid opportunity!
- Monday-Friday 9am-6pm CST
- 6 month contract with potential for extension
- Pay : $19 / hr
Under supervision, this role will assist with payroll operations, solve basic pay related inquiries of limited complexity, summarize colleague inquires in written form into a computerized template or ticket, manage inbound and outbound calls, and visually examine payroll records to create tickets to resolves basic data errors and discrepancies when necessary, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Responsibilities
- Document colleague voice interactions in writing within tickets.
- Knowledge of basic payroll and timekeeping information (e.g., utilization of basic mathematical, etc.)
- Manage inbound and outbound calls to assist with colleague inquiries.
- Respond to basic inquiries from colleague regarding payroll related matters.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel
- Basic time management, strong organizational, and deductive reasoning skills
- Basic aptitude with numerical data
- Experience working in a multi-tasking environment (specifically while talking with colleagues and resolving inquires).
- Provide active listening, empathy, and problem solving.
- Teamwork and Collaboration skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 2 years of Payroll-related experience, preferred.
