POSITION SUMMARY
The Faculty Nursing Recruiting Specialist will work to strengthen the TVCC Nursing program through strategic faculty recruitment and retention initiatives. This position represents a critical investment in our program's future as we prepare for facility expansion and enrollment growth. The person in this position will develop comprehensive faculty recruitment strategies, build meaningful healthcare partnerships, and implement faculty support systems that ensure program excellence and sustainability.
QUALIFICATIONS
MANDATORY:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal communication and relationship building
- Marketing and recruitment experience with proven ability to develop and implement successful talent acquisition strategies
- Strategic planning capabilities with experience in program development and implementation
- Professional presentation skills suitable for healthcare facility partnerships and community engagement
- Project management competency with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills for tracking metrics and measuring program effectiveness
PREFERRED:
- Healthcare industry knowledge or professional experience
- Background in higher education or academic administration
- Experience with clinical faculty recruitment or academic personnel processes
- Familiarity with rural community dynamics and regional workforce challenges
- Knowledge of nursing education requirements and accreditation standards
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Clinical Faculty Recruitment
- Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with regional healthcare facilities to create structured pathways for clinical professionals transitioning to academic roles
- Brand Management: Implement TVCC's updated institutional branding across healthcare partners and community organizations to enhance program visibility and awareness
- Pipeline Creation: Develop sustainable recruitment channels targeting MSN-prepared nurses, experienced educators, and qualified clinical professionals
- Candidate Development: Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator to design orientation and professional development programs that facilitate successful transitions from clinical practice to teaching
Clinical Faculty Retention & Support
- Mentorship Program Leadership: Design and implement comprehensive mentorship networks connecting new faculty with experienced educators to provide ongoing professional support
- Integration Programming: Create structured training and orientation programs that enhance teaching preparedness and foster inclusion within the academic community
- Professional Development: Work with nursing leadership to establish continuous learning opportunities that support faculty growth and job satisfaction
- Support System Coordination: Partner with the Executive Director of Nursing and Clinical Coordinator to ensure comprehensive faculty support throughout the employment lifecycle
Strategic Operations
- Metrics Management: Establish and maintain tracking systems for recruitment and retention outcomes, including application rates, hiring timelines, and faculty satisfaction measures
- Partnership Administration: Document and facilitate formal agreements with healthcare facility partners, ensuring mutual benefit and sustainable collaboration
- Capacity Planning: Support program expansion goals by ensuring adequate faculty staffing for increased student enrollment and new facility utilization
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze recruitment and retention data to refine strategies and enhance program effectiveness

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a full-time, Professional, grant-funded (through 10-27-28), exempt position.
BENEFITS
Benefits include medical insurance for employee and eligible dependents, life insurance, Oregon retirement plan, paid holidays, vacation earned at a rate of 13.34 hours per month (160 hours per year), 16 hours of personal leave (each year) and sick leave earned at a rate of 8 hours per month.
