Trevet , an Environmental and Engineering Consulting Firm headquartered in San Diego, CA, is seeking an entry-level, full-time Environmental Chemist to join our team. Trevet’s geologists, engineers, and scientists primarily support the federal government at numerous military installations throughout the country. We provide compliance, investigation, and restoration services to Department of Defense; other federal, state, and local clients; and private sector clients nationwide. This role will be responsible for both field and office related duties working with our experienced team.Responsibilities : Field Responsibilities may include : Collecting soil samples using various drilling methodsSampling groundwater using low-flow purging and sampling methodologySampling remediation systemsFieldwork may be performed at project sites with environmental media (e.g., soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, etc.) that have been impacted with hazardous substances and hazardous wastes.Office Responsibilities may include : Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting field dataPresenting data in visual, graphical, and tabular formatsWriting technical reportsRequirements : B.S. degree in Chemistry is requiredExperience with EPA analytical methods and field sample collection a plusAbility to travel for projects for extended durations of up to 2 to 3 weeks at a time may be requiredGreat attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and within a teamMust be eligible to work in the U.S. and on Department of Defense installationsOther Requirements : OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour refresher class preferred, but not required (Trevet will provide training)Trevet is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
