Position Summary:

Supervisory role responsible for oversight and coordination of the Imaging services operations to include: staffing (recruitment and retention, staff development, staff evaluations, new employee orientation, staff competencies), Student program; quality (accreditation, regulatory compliance, quality control, quality assurance and process improvement); Financial accountability (productivity equipment and supplies, budgetary input and compliance with goals); customer service. Effectively functions and cooperates as part of the Radiology leadership team promoting the mission, values and strategic plan of the hospital and the Department.  Must be able to perform all duties of supervised employees.

 

 Major Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.
  • Oversight and Coordination:
    • Manage and coordinate Imaging services operations, including staff scheduling and timekeeping, student programs, and customer service.
  • Staffing:
    • Oversee recruitment and retention efforts, staff development, evaluations, new employee orientation, and staff competencies.
    • Ensures timely intervention and discipline of employees, in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Quality Management:
    • Ensure accreditation and regulatory compliance, quality control, quality assurance, and process improvement.
    • Develops and maintains quality outcome measures, addressing issues and recurrent themes that hinder staff from effectively improving clinical outcomes or work efficiencies.
  • Financial Accountability:
    • Maintain productivity of equipment and supplies, provide budgetary input, and ensure compliance with financial goals.
  • Leadership:
    • Collaborate effectively with the Radiology leadership team to promote the hospital’s mission, values, and strategic plan.
    • Perform other duties as assigned. Perform all duties of supervised employees as needed.  

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) years clinical experience as a technologist with at least one (1) year of CT and Radiology experience, required.
  • Two (2) years recent leadership in healthcare supervisions experience, required. Experience in a supervisory position that requires knowledge of financial, management, personnel supervision, and clinical practice, required.
  • Must possess knowledge of organization and operation of assigned areas.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
  • Must be proficient with computers and word processing and database programs.

Education:

  • Completion of approved Radiologic Technology program, required.
  • Completion of approved Computed Tomography program, required or certification in Computed Tomography.

Certification:

  • Current BLS; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider, required.
  • Current California Radiology Technologist (CRT), required.
  • Registered Technologist for CT issued by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T.(CT)(ARRT)), required.
  • Venipuncture certification, required within 3 months of hire.
  • MRI certification, preferred.

 

Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work. 

 

*Salary/Hourly wage range for this position is posted.  Actual pay will be determined based on verified experience as well as internal equity.
