Duties and responsibilities:
Family Development Coordinators engage with pregnant people/parents/guardians/caregivers and children to promote healthy pregnancies, parent/guardian/caregiver and child relationships, and child development.
- Engage families in a way that reduces barriers to their acceptance of services, including meeting them in their home, and/or other public locations.
- Build rapport/relationships families, interacting with them in a respectful, caring manner.
- Provide evidence-based curricula for assigned caseload of families, developing goal plans and staying in regular contact to re-assess what resources are needed to help each family achieve their goals.
- Partner with other agencies that can provide supportive services which address Social Determinates of Health and other barriers to economic self-sufficiency, using a team approach to help clients reach their goals.
- Complete assigned developmental assessments/screenings on all enrolled child according to program and funding guidelines.
- Maintain and update client files, using all assigned databases to track client progress, within three working days from contact.
- Conduct individual or group workshop sessions on related topics as assigned.
- Assist with the planning, implementation, facilitation, and/or attendance of special events relating to programming and initiatives in the community.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university with two years demonstrated experience working directly with children and parents.
- Ability to successfully pass Act 33/34 and FBI clearances
- Valid Driver’s License and car insurance with an acceptable motor vehicle report.
Salary:
This is a non-exempt position with a starting hourly rate of $20.00. This position is based off of a 35-hour workweek.
