Career Coach Liaison
General Responsibilities
The Career Coach Liaison provides program management, implementation, and/or monitoring for Blueprint College and Career Readiness Pathways (CCR) for the Career Coaches in Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester Counties on the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland. Coordination with Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and Wor-Wic Community College, along with other partners. Supports the career coaches and students in Grades 6-12 in career readiness programs, facilitate workforce internships, pre-apprenticeship/apprenticeships with business industry leaders supporting career ladder pathways to livable wages. Performs data analysis and monitors/reports compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides professional advisement to Career Coaches on workforce and labor market information that support students with identification and development of career pathways
- Support educational professionals in creating content and curriculum
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with employers and community agencies
- Recruit and coordinate employers; provide career information to students
- Develop services, programming, workshops, and events supporting education and career goals
- Assists Career Coaches and students in identifying career goals
- Use social media to reach and activate target audiences
- Listen and communicate with different audiences, promote dialogue and build consensus
- Support student use of career interest and other assessments
- Foster career development by providing resources, tools, and information
- Develop, design, prepare, and organize career development resources including one-on-one, small groups, and large groups
- Manage career readiness projects and initiatives from development to implementation
- Monitor the program budget and coordinate with the Grants Specialist
- Perform data analysis and monitor/report compliance and outcomes to governing entities
- Use student performance and achievement data as tools to identify barriers to success; assist in design of improvement strategies
- Provide or coordinate professional learning opportunities for Career Coaches regarding business services, labor market information, career development, and other workforce development activities
- Present information in a variety of informal and formal settings; use tools and techniques to engage the audience
- Host quarterly meetings for the career coaches
- Establish a presence in the middle and high schools with the Career Coaches regarding student outreach across the three counties (Somerset, Worcester, and Wicomico)
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises Career Coaches. This position is responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these departments/positions. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university in Business, Project Management, Marketing/communications, Public Administration, or related field. Three years experience in workforce development, business administration and/or related services. Five years of experience in project management. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Language Skills
