What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist or COTA position at Tri County Special Education?
School-based part time Occupational Therapist to provide numerous services to remove barriers for learning and support student’s motor needs at school. Tasks are varied including consultation, screening, collaborative problem solving, evaluation, indirect and direct therapy, program planning, supervision of OT assistants, goal writing and intervention planning and teaming as needed to support the service provision needed for our students. Attendance at meetings can be managed remotely or in person. We use an integrated service model with a workload model for assignments. Positioning equipment, adapted equipment and treatment materials are provided. Continuing education is provided 4 days per year for a full time therapist. This is a cooperative which works from a central location and provides support to multiple rural schools so of your own car is required but mileage is reimbursed. Our team includes 4 OTRs and 8 COTAs along with 6 PT staff.
