Summary
We are seeking a Dispatcher responsible for receiving all service calls, questioning the caller for pertinent information, assigning the appropriate assets to the call, communicating to set schedules and see that there is an even distribution of assets to services.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Call Taking
- Patient Scheduling
- Processing Patient Payments
- Data Entry of various reports
- Resource Management
- Routing Crews to addresses (involves mapping and routing)
- Radio Communications with crew members and fire departments
- Responsible for assigning appropriate Company assets to the following service requests (This is not an exhaustive list):
- Pre-Schedule
- Discharge
- Medical Appointment
- King County Mental Health
- Providence Hospital
- Standing Orders
- Bariatric
- Private Emergency
- Community Emergency
- King County Sherriff
- Port Fire District
- King County Mental Health
- Providence Hospital
- Wheelchair Calls
- Discharge
- Medical Appointment
- Transport to ER
- Bariatric
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or GED.
Special Skills:
- Knowledge of insurances, clinic policies and procedures.
- Able to operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computers, copy and fax machines.
- Ability to examine documents for accuracy, completeness and file in patient charts.
- Verify demographics, insurance and co-payment information.
- Display the ability to input data regarding patients with accuracy.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with co-workers under stressful situations.
- Provide communication to patients regarding appointments in a timely manner.
- Effective communication with physicians, patients, fire, public and co-workers is required.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to multitask between phones, radio, pager and dispatching.
Experience:
- Two years' experience dispatching, preferably in a medical setting.

Hours of work:
Sunday - Tuesday and every other Wednesday, from 07:00-1900 (initial training will be Monday - Friday until complete)
