```Duties```
- Perform preliminary patient screenings and assessments, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and pupillary responses.
- Assist ophthalmologists in various diagnostic procedures and tests.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments by explaining procedures and obtaining medical history.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient information, including medical history, medications, and allergies.
- Administer eye drops or medications as directed by the ophthalmologist.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and post-operative instructions.
- Transcribe ophthalmic examination findings and other medical documentation accurately.
```Experience```
- Previous experience working in a medical office or ophthalmology setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to the eye.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately transcribe medical information.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and compassion for patients.
