Tri-State Valve & Instrument Inc., an industrial valve distributor since 1989, is looking for a driven Inside Sales Representative that can serve customers by selling products and meeting customer’s needs.
Compensation: Based on Experience
Description:
The Inside Sales/Customer Service associate is responsible for providing detailed product information, answering the telephone, as well as taking and placing orders. Other duties may be assigned by the Supervisor/ Manager as needed.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: - Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes and take customer orders
- Order and source products
- Negotiate sale and purchase prices
- Proactively generate sales and promote Company products
- Expedite backorders and work backlog management report daily
- Assist with pulling inventory and preparing shipments
- Assist with customer returns
- Interact with customers and suppliers to obtain and fill orders correctly
- Troubleshoot customer concerns
Qualifications and Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): - Good customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, organized, detailed, and focused
- Minimum 2 years of valve/flow control industry or a technical/mechanical background, in a sales role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook and Excel
- Knowledge of supply chain systems helpful
- High School Diploma or GED
