TriVista Rehab is a contract rehab company and outpatient therapy provider. We empower independence for our therapists and the patients that we serve. TriVista Rehab provides PT, OT, and SLP services to seniors in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and the home.
Occupational Therapy Assistants specialize in helping people get back to activities of daily living. Occupational therapy helps patients achieve their maximal level of independence in eating, dressing, toileting, bathing, cooking, housekeeping, and leisure activities. Occupational Therapy Assistants provide education and training in the use of adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
· Associate degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) from an accredited university.
· Current Mississippi state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
· BLS/health provider CPR
· At least two years of experience with the senior/geriatric population.
· Strives to positively represent their discipline and TriVista Rehab in the community.
We are currently seeking a regular part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to cover treatments in our gym in an Assisted Living Facility in Olive Branch, MS approximately 16-20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, focusing on geriatrics and pediatrics.
- Educate patients and families on activities of daily living (ADLs) and rehabilitation techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings.
- Ensure compliance with BLS certification and safety protocols during patient care activities.
