Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, creating a welcoming and professional experience from check-in to check-out. This role is essential to the smooth daily operations of the center and requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
· Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally upon arrival
· Check patients in and out efficiently, verifying demographics and insurance information
· Answer and route incoming phone calls in a courteous and timely manner
· Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow as needed
· Collect co-pays and other payments, issue receipts, and balance daily totals
· Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
· Communicate effectively with clinical staff to support patient care and workflow
· Track and maintain records of surgeon and nursing licenses and credentials, including monitoring expiration dates and notifying leadership of upcoming renewals
· Assist with maintaining compliance-related documentation as directed
· Manage front desk paperwork, forms, and general administrative tasks
· Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming front office area
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Previous experience in a medical office, ambulatory surgery center, or healthcare setting preferred
· Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
· Professional appearance and demeanor
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Work Location: In person
