Job Summary

Excellent part time opportunity! Outpatient ophthalmology surgery.

Part time RN- 8 hours/week

• Tuesday- 0600-1400
• Closed on all major holidays

Job Overview:

Performing pre op assessments, obtaining health history, prepping patients for outpatient surgery, recovering patients in PACU, making post op follow-up phone calls

Professional attitude and appearance are required. We will train the right candidate!

Job Requirements:

• Current AR RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Excellent communication skills
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills

Job Duties:

• Oversees & directs the care of the surgical patient
• Collaborate with physicians, other services, patients and patients’ family to assess patient care needs and evaluate outcomes
• Ensure continuity of care through appropriate discharge planning, patient education and coordination of services
• Act as a patient and family advocate in order to uphold patient rights
• Train, coach and assist team members to ensure optimum patient care and efficient use of resources
• Demonstrates problem solving abilities, leadership skills, and collaborative strengths to function independently with little to no direction.
