Job Summary
The driver are absolutely essential in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of our school children between their homes and school.
Being a school bus driver isn't just about driving a bus. It requires a compassionate nature, someone who genuinely cares for the wellbeing of the children under their care. These drivers are responsible for creating a comforting and safe environment during each ride, making sure every child feels secure and looked after.
Duties
- Safely transport children to and from schools in Wake and Johnston counties.
- Assist students in entering and exiting vehicles, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the transport vehicles.
- Collaborate with management and school officials in coordinate student transport schedules.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties.
Skills
- Home & community care experience is highly desirable for understanding school age children needs.
- Basic life support certification is essential for responding to emergencies during transport.
- Strong interpersonal skills to ensure a compassionate approach towards individuals in need of assistance.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
