DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Kitchen Cabinet Assembler
Knowledge of hand tools and basic measurements, ability to read and translate simple drawings for modifying the cabinet parts, attention to detail and quality focuses.
Some of the tasks that are needed to be performed but are not limited to the following are:
- Material handling
- Breaking down pallets
- Assembling/building cabinets
- Hardware of cabinets thru use of power tools to attach parts.
- Installing glass into doors
- Installing Drawer Slides
- Installing Drawer Boxes
- Installing Drawer Fronts
- Installing Doors and Hinging Doors
- Install cabinet inserts and accessories.
- Quality visual inspections of finished products
Knowledge and Skills Preferred
- Demonstrates ability to use power tools safely and effectively
- Meets quality standards of production
- Must be able to lift to 35 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift 50 pounds.
- Parts and other miscellaneous materials are handled with care to prevent damage
- Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble small delicate product parts
- Pays close attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing and reaching
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds
- All production personnel, due to the nature of the work, may be required to be on their feet for an entire shift (with exception of break periods/lunch)
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Previous experience in factory or warehouse: 1 year preferred but not required
- Woodworking: preferred but not required
- Warehouse experience preferred but not required
