What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT aide position at Tribeca Physical Therapy?
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Aide to join our team in New York. The Physical Therapist Aide will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist with indirect patient care such as scheduling, calling patients, and the maintenance of the clinic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist doctors of physical therapy with indirect patient care such as setting up equipment
- Keep treatment areas and equipment clean, organized, and properly functioning.
- Assist with patient scheduling and record keeping as needed.
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards, including HIPAA regulations and standards of patient privacy.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and co-workers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Physical ability to lift and move patients, as well as equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Prior experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
