What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Mobile Phlebotomist position at TridentCare2019?
- Verify daily with phlebotomy dispatch if amendments to the daily routes need to be adjusted due to phlebotomist call offs, on-calls, etc.
- Completes their own assigned route.
- Will keep APS apprised of facility clearance, including: UTO’s, same day refusals, STAT’s, ammonias, etc.
- Assist with training new phlebotomists.
- Attend facility start up in-service with supervisor as assigned.
- Conduct quarterly trunk checks for phlebotomists.
- Account for all phlebotomist route sheets on a daily basis
- Assist with mileage entry in Datarrive
- Assist in ordering supplies and closing orders as assigned.
- Assist in collection of centrifuge logs and placement in binders as assigned.
- Assist in butterfly logs/usage as assigned.
- Communicate cooperatively with all other departments, including but not limited to: Laboratory Dispatch, Courier Dispatch, Couriers, Accessioning, Customer Service and Data Entry.
SKILLS|EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 1 year of Phlebotomy experience
- Must have a current CPT Licensure, if required by state.
- Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficient in phlebotomy requirements including venipuncture using both vacutainer and wing technique.
- Extensive knowledge of required specimen preservation, adequate patient preparation and specimen procedures.
- Strong knowledge of infection control and environment of care guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of HIPPA/PHI requirements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate initiative and be self-motivated.
- Must have a current and valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance.
- Must possess access to a vehicle in good working condition suitable to meet daily driving requirements.
