What are the responsibilities and job description for the Music Therapy - Hospice position at Triniti Home Health and Hospice?
Responsibilities:
- Provide music therapy services to hospice patients and their families
- Assess the emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of patients to develop individualized treatment plans
- Use music interventions to address pain management, anxiety, depression, and other symptoms associated with end-of-life care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure the best outcomes for patients
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory requirements
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or related field
- Certification as a Music Therapist (MT-BC) preferred
- Experience working in a hospice or palliative care setting is a plus
- Proficient in playing various musical instruments and using technology for music therapy interventions
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients and their families
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
