Job Duties
- Build Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) partnerships within R&D, serving as the primary SHE contact for designated therapeutic areas
- Champion a culture of safety within the R&D groups based on HOP principles
- Attend therapeutic area meetings within partner areas, presenting one-point lessons, relevant SHE topics and serve as a SHE ‘go-to’ as needs arise
- Conduct, document and manage risk assessments, new instrument purchases, and SHE Event investigations and affiliated CAPAs to ensure a safe workplace in the in-house SHE System
- Lead lab walk-throughs with participation from SHE partners
- Become knowledgeable on SHE System (Enablon) to assist partners as needs arise
- Assist with designed safety meetings, documentation, reviews as well as site SHE communications on various platforms (WorkPlace, plasma screens, Teams, etc)
- Participate in departmental self-audits and program reviews
- Other duties as assigned
About You
- Bachelor's /Master’s degree in scientific or EHS related field
- 1-5 years experience in lab/animal/biological/chemical safety, bench research, or biopharma R&D/manufacturing
- CSP, RBP, CIH desired but not required
- Prior experience with laser and/or animal safety strongly desired
- Prior experience with risk assessment and accident investigations strongly desired
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong computer/technology skills desired
