Day shift
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Complete and maintain paperwork per job per customer
- Paint and/or blast
- Fill out job cards and paint logs daily
Required skills and experience:
- Must be able to wear respirator while painting/blasting at all times
- Must have supervisory skills and be able to solve problems related to blasting, painting and materials
- Must have 3-5 years of prior industrial painting/blasting with supervisory experience, including zinc primer, epoxys, enamels and polyurethanes
- Must be able to read a tape measure, mil gauge and blueprints
- Must have 3-5 industrial painting experience, with supervisory experience
- Hold or position spray guns to direct spray onto articles.
- Clean equipment and work areas.
- Record operational data on specified forms.
- Mix paints to match color specifications or original colors, stirring or thinning paints, using spatulas or power mixing equipment.
- Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from surfaces in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
- Sand and apply sealer to properly dried finish.
