What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Surgical Services position at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic?
The Director of Surgical Services provides nursing leadership which supports and operationalizes the Trinity Health mission at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. The Director provides nursing operational planning and analysis, ensures that quality patient care is delivered, and assures efficiency of daily operations.
The Director of Perioperative Services reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to include surgeons, anesthesiologists, Surgical Services leadership team, and bargaining unit leadership.
Requirements :
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- AORN Certification preferred
- Requires a valid Registered Nurse licensure to practice in Pennsylvania
- BLS certification required
- Progressive clinical experience within Surgical Services (5 years minimum)
- Prior leadership experience at the director level within Surgical Services (5 years minimum)
- Experience managing in a union environment required
