Position Purpose:
The Counter Aid is responsible for the portioning, setting up and service of food items and cleaning and maintenance of all areas and equipment related to the cafeteria. Assists with set-up, service, and clean-up of special functions as assigned.
What you will do:
- Performs meal service duties according to approved procedures, waiting on customers quickly and courteously.
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues, patients, and family member.
- Operates departmental equipment in a safe and efficient manner and maintains assigned work areas in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner.
- Performs other special assignments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service operation.
- Experience in a cafeteria type food services operation preferred.
- Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
