About This Position
Trinity Investors seeks a Staff Accountant in Southlake, Texas to work independently, as well as collaboratively, as part of the accounting team, providing accounting oversight on approximately 40 special purpose entities.
- Responsible for maintaining all investor related information in the company's CRM system
- Provide accounting oversight on approximately 40 special purpose entities (SPE's)
- Prepare and post journal entries; maintain accurate SPE books and records in the general ledger
- Coordinate the preparation, review, and communication of distributions
- Responsible for compliance with partnership agreements
- Prepare annual financial statements, working with tax department to meet reporting deadlines
- Collaborate with the investments team to ensure smooth funds flow and closing process for new investments
- Assist with preparation of 1099 forms
- Assist with accounting related client inquiries
- Perform additional special projects for management
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting Public/Private
- Ability to learn on-the-job quickly
- Sufficient knowledge and hands on experience with governing documents, such as LPAs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Superior problem solving, judgment and decision-making skills
- Extensive Microsoft suite skills - Excel (pivots), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be able to commute to our office in Southlake daily, Monday - Friday
Nice to Have
- CPA preferred
- Hands on experience in accounting of private equity funds and related vehicles is preferred
