Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West of Manhattan, seeks Associate Teachers to support classrooms in Grades K-2 beginning September 1, 2023.
The Lower School Associate Teacher program provides educators in the dawn of their careers the opportunity to work alongside and learn from an experienced Head Teacher. Designed for college graduates interested in pursuing a teaching career, the majority of appointments are for three years, in the same classroom.
Qualified candidates are passionate about working with children and put students’ needs first. We seek educators who are collaborative in nature and eager to learn, and who have a joyful sense of humor. We expect all community members to demonstrate a commitment to an equitable classroom culture inclusive of varied student experiences, and an awareness of how race, gender, and other aspects of identity manifest themselves in the early childhood classroom.
While many Associate Teacher candidates have one or two years of student teaching experience in independent/charter/public schools and have obtained or are working towards a Master’s degree, we also welcome qualified mid-career changers with limited classroom experience.
