Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse on this unit, some of the services you will provide are as follows:

• Monitoring and care of the post anesthesia patient
• Postoperative pain and nausea control
• Surgical site monitoring
• Compression therapy device removal post heart catheterization
• Keeping families informed through the postoperative care process

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Current TN RN Licensure or current compact state licensure
• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree, or Masters Degree
• 1 year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience required.
