What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Medical Surgery position at TriState Health?
Job Summary:
Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. Nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital, Nursing Department and regulatory standards.
Education and Training:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Licensures/ Certifications:
- Current Washington State RN license; Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification card.
- ACLS/PALS/NIHSS preferred.
Experience:
- Two (2) years of previous nursing experience preferred; new grads may be considered.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills
- Competent in the use of computers
