Triumph seeks Intake Admissions Specialist

Qualifications:

Successful applicants will:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree with specialized training in SUD is preferred.

Completion of, or enrollment in core courses is SUD studies program required

Intake Admissions Specialist Duties:

  • Know about ASAM diagnostic and placement criteria.
  • Accurately reporting assessment results as authorized by properly signed ROI's.
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner regarding the patient's treatment recommendations resulting from their assessments/admissions.
  • Represent themselves and the agency in a professional manner with patients, their families, referents, finders, and in court, when necessary, with testimony, depositions, and recommendations regarding the patient's treatments if required.
  • Understand and implement the essential elements of the ASAM assessment and placement process.
  • Demonstrate the ability to complete timely and professional reports.
  • Demonstrate effective case management skills.
  • Understand the need for crisis intervention in case of acute emotional of physical distress.
  • Be aware of the legal obligations of emergency management, i.e., DSHS (Youth and Family Services involvement, CPR Mandatory reporting, etc.).
  • Be able to deliver effective and concise patient and family education in the form of lecture, video, written, or individualized media.
  • Understand how to make appropriate and effective referrals.
  • Maintain files, reports, and records as required by the WAC.
  • Participate in the counselor staff meeting. Review select patient's treatment program with peers.
  • Collect and present all necessary patient statistics required for data/demographic collection/submission and information required for billing/collections, in a timely manner.
  • Have the knowledge of/and possess both group and/or individual counseling skills and techniques required to provide group and/or individual counseling as part of the overall training requirements of a SUDPT when applicable. Or when needed to meet the program’s clinical needs.

Certification:

  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days, provide a current, valid, and properly classed driver's license.
  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days, provide and maintain insurability to operate agency vehicles.
  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days, provide evidence of a Tuberculin skin test.
  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days provide Food Handlers certification.
  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days, provide certification in both CPR and First Aid for both adults and children.
  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days provide evidence of Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training.
  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days, provide evidence of Cultural Competence training.
  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days, provide evidence of Defensive Driver's Training.
  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days, provide evidence of HIPAA training.
  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days, provide evidence of HIV/AIDS, Airborne, and Bloodborne Pathogens training.
  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days, provide evidence of Sexual Harassment training.
  • Applicants who are hired must, within 30 days, provide evidence of Strategies for Preventing and Deescalating Hostile Situations.
