We are looking for energetic and fun hosts that have a knack for customer service and helping others. Our game masters are responsible for welcoming players, providing instructions for the game, assisting players throughout the game to help them escape and ensuring everyone has a memorable post game experience. At Tropic Escape Room we strive to ensure players have an amazing experience from start to finish filled with fun, energy, and enthusiasm and our game masters are a huge part of that. Our busy season is right around the corner and are looking for an immediate hire. We are currently open 4pm-10pm weekdays, and 12pm-12am weekends. The ideal person will be able to work part-time during those times, with the potential to be on call for more hours as special bookings dictate. During the holidays and 3-day weekends it is exponentially busier and our game-masters understand it will be “all hands on deck” and vacation time will be limited.
Responsibilities:
-Greet players, answer all questions about the game, assist with check in and signing waivers.
-Provide players with an introduction to their game and the game rules.
-Run the game: monitor progress, provide hints or clues as needed, and help the players escape.
-Greet players as they escape with enthusiasm, discuss their strengths and take post game photos.
-Reset the game for the next group of players meticulously.
-Answer phones, when necessary, and schedule bookings.
Qualifications:
-Comfortable speaking to large groups
-Self-starter, energetic, and personable personality
-Problem solver and able to think on your feet in fast-paced environments
-Excellent customer service skills
-Eye for detail. Rooms must be reset correctly every time.
-Knowledgeable with computer basics and technology.
-Capable with super glue, screwdrivers, and basic handiwork for when props need fixing.
-Ability to be on call and work nights and weekends
On call $3 per hour, in store $15 per hour.
