MARKETING ASSISTANT

Directly Reports To: Marketing Manager

Mission of

this Position: A Marketing Assistant for Tropic Ocean Airways provides administrative support to the marketing department to increase brand awareness of Tropic Ocean Airways with partners, press and general public. The individual in this role is a self starter and thrives under tight deadlines to mee the company’s changing needs. This individual will be someone who has a positive outlook, thinks outside the box to impact the overall brand in creative ways, and has a desire to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Meet or exceed position’s duties/expectations while displaying initiative, adhering to TOA SOPs and aligning with core values of the organization.  

• Assist with daily social media management, including drafting posts, monitoring engagement, and hashtag research.

• Monitoring media and review platforms for positive and negative feedback

• Monitor inboxes for all marketing, media and partnership requests internally and externally.

• Support creation of marketing materials like flyers, posters, & graphics.

• Assists with collecting and distributing marketing materials in relation to partnerships, in-flight magazine, events, and more.

• Support event coordination logistics and promotion.

• Support creation of marketing materials and asset production.

• Manage social media calendars and contribute content.

• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors and target demographics.

• Provide Administrative support for the marketing department.

Essential Skill Set:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a marketing, business, or design program.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite

• Self starter with a desire to continue learning through ongoing education

• Good writing, communication, and presentation abilities

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail

• Will act with honesty, integrity and respect
