Summary: The Senior HR and Training Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive support for day-to-day human resources and training operations. This role ensures the effective and accurate management of HRIS data, payroll processing, recruitment, benefits administration, employee development, and internal HR communications. Acting as a liaison between HR and all departments, the incumbent delivers people-focused services that support the organization’s goals and enhance the employee’s experience. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a passion for talent development and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following - Other duties may be assigned.:
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Manage full-cycle recruitment processes in coordination with HR and department leaders.
- Maintain and update job postings across internal and external job boards.
- Screen and prequalify candidates, schedule interviews, and coordinate job fair participation.
- Prepare and send offer letters, guide candidates through pre-employment checks and onboarding.
- Deliver new hire orientation and assist with onboarding logistics.
- Track new hire milestones (30/60/90-day reviews) and conduct stay interviews.
- Support headcount tracking and reporting.
- Manage the NMLS for positions requiring licensing.
Benefits Administration
- Assist with benefits communication and support during the annual open enrollment period.
- Respond to Employee's benefit inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely guidance.
- Facilitate enrollment for health, supplemental, and retirement benefits.
- Support FMLA, ADA, and other leave processes as a backup.
- Coordinate wellness initiatives and employee health programs.
HRIS & Payroll Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in the HRIS.
- Support payroll and timekeeping processes as needed.
- Generate personnel actions and obtain appropriate approvals via the HRIS.
- Manage records for compliance-related reports (EEO, AAP, OSHA, etc.).
- Assist with employee data changes.
Administer Tropical Employee Recognition Programs - Tropical Service Champion, Anniversary Awards and On-the-Spot Bonus
- Coordinate committee meetings and participation,
- Gather and present the nominations to the committee
- Communicate the announcements of the winners.
- Oversee the coordination of Service Anniversary awards and on the spot via the recognition system.
- Oversee the ordering gifts for employee events (births, and bereavement) and appropriate distribution of these gifts.
HR Programs & Communication
- Manage employee recognition programs, including the management of recognition system of the internal recognition program (e.g., Tropical Service Champion, Anniversaries, on the spot bonuses, etc.).
- Coordinate ordering and distribution of uniforms.
- Maintain HR intranet content, calendars, and any related HR and Training content.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and cultural programs.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews; recommend improvements for retention.
Training & Development
- Assist with the planning, delivery, and tracking of training and compliance programs.
- Assist in developing career development and succession planning strategies.
- Present and facilitate internal training sessions; track and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Maintain training schedules, attendance records, and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for seamless training delivery.
Special Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee exit interviews and provide insights to improve retention.
- Identify trends and recommend improvements in recruitment, employee relations, and benefits.
- Participate in cross-functional HR and training projects.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous process enhancements.
- Maintain cost control awareness and identify opportunities for efficiency and savings.
Compliance:
- BSA Compliance - every employee is required to uphold the credit union’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures. Specific functions within TFCU will take into consideration the awareness of unusual or suspicious activity that is relevant to the department.
- In addition to any other assigned training courses, online BSA and OFAC courses must be completed at least annually, as made available by the Training and/or Compliance Departments.
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Fair Lending and Credit Card Act.
- Comply with all TFCU policies and procedures to ensure compliance with such regulations.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or business management.
- Five years or more proven, verifiable working experience in Human Resources, in either of the following human resource functions: Recruitment and Selection, Employment Benefits Administration and Training and Development.
- Working knowledge of Federal and State personnel laws, rules and regulations.
- Working knowledge of PC is utilizing MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
- Working knowledge of an HRIS database can either be Paylocity, UKG, or any related/similar software.
